Friendlies
The Association has six Friendlies each season; five are local and one match is away to either Gosport or Swindon.
The Friendlies are open to all players registered with the Association, whether you are new and inexperienced or a seasoned bowler. We cover a large area, from Blandford and Swanage to Lymington. It is a great experience to go to distant clubs where we possibly don’t normally play.
The games are good fun and a super way of meeting new friends and catching up with old ones. Obviously, we aim to win but, more importantly, we go to have a relaxed, fun afternoon with good food and a natter after the match. It is great to catch up with our opponents year on year.

B&DWBA Friendly Matches – 2026
B&DWBA v B&DBA > Sun 17th May > Kings Park
The 1st friendly was the men against the women, at Knyveton Gardens BC. The men were victorious by 121-75. Next year the ladies will win! Thanks to Wendy Handyside for the lovely salad and fruit crumble, which went down really well. The atmosphere was great, helped by the rain staying off for the match.
Up next: Friendly against Swindon at Fordingbridge BC. Please get your names in so you don't miss out. Fordingbridge is the first club to provide a rink.
