Dates & Events 2026

The ladies enjoyed playing against Bowls Dorset on the 29th July at Braeside. 

Unfortunately we lost on the day, but the atmosphere was brilliant and played in the true spirit of bowls in very hot conditions. We played 12 ends with a hydration break after 6 ends. We all enjoyed sandwiches, a cream tea and cake! Thank you to everyone who made the event a wonderful day.

On Wednesday 12th August we celebrated President’s Day at New Milton, hosted by Maureen. Once again, the weather was glorious. and we enjoyed 3 short games of 4 ends each, with the winners advancing up a rink. The hot food was an absolute delight, cooked and served by the wonderful ladies in the kitchen who dedicated their time to ensure the event was memorable. Thank you.

On 23rd August, the B&DWBA enjoyed their last friendly for the season at Gosport. The Gosport ladies were very friendly with a warm welcome, and the green looked great and was quick. It wasn’t our day on the green, with Southbourne being our only winning rink, with us losing overall by 22 shots. After the game a lovely salad was enjoyed by all. The trophy stayed with Gosport, but next year we plan to bring it back home.
